RUEN BROTHERS

On their Rick Rubin produced debut LP, All My Shades of Blue, The Ruen Brothers spring to life in sweeping Technicolor.  With big guitars and an electric pulse, Henry and Rupert Stansall add gasoline to a retro sensibility that explodes with raw passion and natural charisma. Wielding a sound that draws from a well of classic influences and styles, the England raised, New York dwelling musicians (whose moniker comes from a combination of their first names) possess the polish, command and swagger of an era that was once thought to have been lost to time.  Bringing that same soaring, unbridled spirit with them to Bethlehem, PA, the brothers – along with drummer Colin Paul – piled into a room on the second floor of Musikfest Café in early August (08-07-2018) for a performance of “An Evening Dreaming.” Sometime later, they’d grace the Musikfest stage where they would capture all of the excitement, immortality and fun of their own dizzying rock and roll.
