Even with the spare accompaniment of just an acoustic guitar, keys, tambourine and the occasional harmonica, the songs The Outdoor Type performed had managed to feel far bigger and brighter than the small, intimate setting would immediately suggest. Stopping in for a den session while in town to perform at Philadelphia's Radio 104.5’s August 20th Summer Block Party, the musicians from Melbourne, Australia effortlessly honed in on the peacefulness surrounding their melodies, filling the room with the gorgeous, glowing harmonies of “Are You Happy,” “Dirty Water” and “On My Mind.”
